Wow, this month has gone by fast! It seems like I just received my last Ipsy Glam Bag but another has arrived! A very pleasant surprise indeed. Just last week I reviewed the FabFitFun Spring 2018 box (spoiler alert: it was amaaaaazing) so I’ll admit I was slightly underwhelmed when I first opened the March Ipsy bag. But it didn’t take long to realize it’s a winner.
Let’s have a look.
The Bag: A DIY bag with black and white silhouettes
This came with markers to personalize the bag and add some colour. But I have to say that I love it as a black and white, especially with the hot pink zipper. This may be my favourite bag ever!
Lip Balm: Glossier Balm Dotco in Mint
I absolutely love how smooth and moisturizing this balm is and the zing of mint feels great on my lips. It’s the perfect size to carry around in my pocket for a quick hit.
Lip Gloss: Kokie Cosmetics Veneer Cream in Unspoken
I would NEVER have purchased this shade on my own, let alone try it on, which is a good reminder of why I get this subscription bag. Ipsy provides me with products I would not have otherwise picked and this is a great example of adding something new to my makeup regime that really works. Amazingly, this shade looks great with my skin tone and it’s not at all sticky. Win-win!
Eyeliner: Tarte Cosmetics Sex Kitten Eyeliner
It’s inky black and waterproof. Really? That makes it perfect. And one can never go wrong with a Tarte product.
Mascara: Eyeko Lash Alert in Carbon Black
Well, well, well, isn’t this interesting? The mascara comes in a squeezy tube with a super rounded brush to help give the ultimate curl. Best part… it contains biotin, which helps improve lashes over time. I’ll need to use this for a few days before I can fully report on its effectiveness but we’re off to a great start!
Eyeshadow: Furless Loose Pigment in Sinister
At first, I thought this deep bronze would be too “wild” for me but the metallic shade goes on with a light dusting providing just a touch of shimmer. They suggest you can also use it as a liner, which is something I’ll definitely try. Depending on how much or little you put on, it’s a great shade to wear night or day.
I’m giving this month’s bag 5/5 stars. It’s perfect!! I don’t have anything like these five products so I’m super excited to have some new stuff to try out. So far, I love it all. I’m not sure how they do it based on some basic information about me, but this bag contained the absolute best colours for me and I didn’t even know it. How great is that?
Ipsy costs $10 US/month (plus $5 shipping to Canada). These are not full-sized products so that may seem like a bit much when you consider currency exchange. However, I’ve spent way more than that on single products that I either lose or lose interest in pretty quick so I can’t really fault the size of these products. It’s a great way to try out something new, without a huge commitment. Learn more about Ipsy here.
Have a great month, beautiful people!

I’m a huge fan of the glossier balm! Great article, thank you for sharing!
