Dress It Out – One Piece 3 Ways

If you only had one dress, and you only wore it one way, it would get pretty boring pretty fast. That tends to lead to the, “I have nothing in my closet!” scenario and buying stuff you don’t really need.

Lately I’ve set a challenge for myself to only buy wardrobe pieces that are multifunctional. At this time of year, I’m also looking for dresses that will transition through the season. Here’s my latest buy – shown three ways.

Striped Textured Sheath Dress

I absolutely love Old Navy because you can add to your closet without breaking the bank. But these aren’t investment pieces and you can only really hope to wear it for the year before it’s time to move on. All my additions are added to my Winter Look Book but for this Striped Textured Sheath Dress, I wanted to show you how to get the most wear out of it.

Dressed Up 3 Ways

  1. For a dresser look, I kept it simple and just added a cute pair of sling-bank heels with an adorable bow. Perfect for those rushed mornings!
  2. On days when I don’t want to wear heals, I’ve paired this with some funky leopard flats. Mixing patterns isn’t my forte but I can get behind this look. A classic black blazer polished off the outfit for meetings or other work-related events.
  3. Adding a bright scarf is another great way to change up a look. Yellow is super hot for this spring and I love how it looks with black & white.

Ta-da! I think I’m going to have fun with this dress and figuring out new ways to change the look. Thanks to everyone who voted fo this piece on my IG stories…. you picked well!

xo,
Mary
