As much as I love the holiday season, I’m not a fan of braving the malls or going out in this increasing frigid weather. So, I’ve done a helluva-lot of online shopping and rounded-up my favourites of the season to share with you.
These unique gift items will put a smile on anyone’s face and and are sure to be a pleasant surprise! If you have an interesting idea to share, please leave a comment below.
The Adventurer
With locations popping up all over Canada and the United States, iFly is soaring! It’s a simulated skydiving experience that will literally whisk you off your feet and is suitable for anyone aged 4 and up! A great (and safe) adventure for the whole family.

The Scientist
Have you heard of 23andMe? This nifty genetics kit that’s sold on Amazon gives you everything you need to collect a DNA sample, send it in for analysis and then access your personalized ancestry and health reports. How cool is that? My husband has quite a few nationalities in his bloodline and it will be interesting to learn what else we didn’t know about. The kids are also super excited about this idea!

The Chef
I’ve written a good deal about my love for Instant Pot but this Christmas, there’s a new item high on my baking bucket list. A Crepe Maker!! My kids looooove Crepe Delicious so it would be nice to make them at home. There are so many sweet and savoury crepe recipes on Pinterest that I’m sure this will be used often. It’s also super easy and safe for the kids to use themselves, which is always a bonus in the kitchen.

The Movie Buff
Love watching movies but would rather stay in your PJs than get dressed and go out? A subscription service is just what you need! With so many to choose from like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney+ and Apple TV (amongst many others) it’s pretty easy to find a service that’s right for you. Plus, most of these have free trials so you won’t have buyers regret 😉

The Neat Freak
Okay, I take that back. You don’t need to be a Neat Freak to appreciate having someone else clean your toilets! Everyone deserves a break, especially after the chaos of the holidays, and this gift will literally leave you sparkling. Molly Maid is only one of many house cleaning services out there but whomever you choose, have a read of this article so you know what to look for.

The Sentimentalist
Have someone on your list that means a lot to you? Nothing says love like having pictures of your family and friends around the house. Mixtiles is an easy, affordable way to add precious photographs to your walls.

The Pooch
Last but not least, let’s not forget our furry friends. This product is a personal favourite of mine because I absolutely love how reliable the Buddy Belt harness is! It’s the only one that my pup has never escaped from and it’s super cute on her too! As a bonus pooch-gift, here’s a post I wrote about how to photograph your black furry friend, so you can ensure tons of perfect holiday photos.

Whatever gift you choose for your loved ones this holiday season, may you enjoy your time with family and friends! Remember folks, in the end, it’s about presence not presents.
Happy Holidays!
I love the movie buff idea. I never would have that of gifting something like Netflix!!
I’m so glad you thought so! I know so many people who don’t have Netflix but would love it.
